Viking Cruises Unveils Exclusive China Itineraries for 2024
In a recent announcement, Viking Cruises has introduced three new extraordinary itineraries, positioning itself as the go-to choice for travellers seeking exclusive access to China in 2024. The new Viking Cruises voyages, varying from 10-20 days, promise an exceptional blend of cultural immersion and scenic exploration, navigating through major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Each meticulously crafted itinerary, featuring a domestic sailing off China’s coast, unveils destinations and ports accessible only through Viking.
Viking Cruises Providing Unprecedented Experience Aboard Viking Yi Dun
Cruising from September to November, the voyages will take place aboard the Viking Yi Dun, formerly known as the Viking Sun. This sister ship maintains the same design and service standards as all other ocean ships in Viking Cruises’ fleet. The Viking Yi Dun, proudly bearing the Chinese flag, is set to become the first ship exclusively dedicated to the foreign market to operate domestic sailings in China. The three new Viking Cruises which will set voyage include:
- ‘Wonders of China’ (20 Days; Beijing roundtrip)
- ‘Classic China & the Coast’ (15 days; Beijing, Xian – Hong Kong – Shenzhen)
- ‘China Discovery’ (10 days; Shanghai – Hong Kong – Shenzhen)
Wonders of China’ showcases China’s main highlights, offers experiences such as meeting the Tibetan family, walking on the Great Wall and exploring UNESCO World Heritage sites like Gulangyu Island. ‘Class China & the Coast’ combines elements of Viking Cruises’ 10-day China Discovery voyage, including iconic landmarks like the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, along with diverse experiences along China’s captivating coastline. Viking Cruises’, ‘China Discovery’ provides a shorter option, featuring attractions like Buddhist shrines, the cliffs of Dongtou, historic steps of 19th-century European diplomats on Gulangyu Island.Â
