Viking Opens 2026 Bookings With New Ship Viking Vesta

Having already sold-out 2024 and 2025 departures, Viking has now announced ocean-going voyages aboard its latest ship, Viking Vesta, which is set to join the fleet in July 2025.

Viking Vesta Due In 2025

It is said that strong travel demand has led to the early opening of 2026 departures across the cruise line’s ocean fleet, with more than 80 itineraries on offer. 

Viking Vesta, with a 998 guest capacity on board and 499 staterooms, will spend her inaugural season sailing popular itineraries in the Mediterranean and Scandinavia. Viking aims to include 23 new ships by 2030, including adding 20 ocean vessels.

Viking Vesta Set To Join Most Popular Ocean Itineraries

Popular voyages include the 15-day Viking Homelands, eight-day Iconic Western Mediterranean, 10-day Empires of the Mediterranean and 15-day British Isles Explorer itineraries that cover these regions.

According to Viking, the new Viking Vesta is an all-veranda small ship designed to dock where large ships cannot. Along with this, the ship also offers a range of facilities that include a wellness center, two speciality restaurants, a main dining room and a theater.

On top of this, Viking Vesta will offer several bars and lounges, a winter garden, two pool decks and different stateroom categories.

Viking Vesta Joining The Ocean Fleet

Chair Torstein Hagen said discerning cruisers can expect to experience the brand’s difference on the new adults-only ocean ship.

“We have always done things a bit differently. We design travel experiences for thinking people with no children and no casinos. We are pleased that our approach has resonated with so many and with the addition of the Vesta to our ocean fleet, we look forward to introducing even more curious travellers to our way of exploration.”
