Silversea ‘Silver Nova’ Takes To The Seas On Maiden Voyage

On 14 August 2023, Silversea’s newest ship, Silver Nova, took to the water on its maiden voyage. Departing Venice, Italy, the ship began its seven day journey through the Adriatic, calling into Prian, Slovenia; Zadar, Dubrovnik, Split, and Rovinj in Croatia; and Kotor, Montenegro.

This is the first Nova-class ship for Silversea, and is one of the most spacious and environmentally conscious ultra-luxury cruise ships ever built and boasts an innovative design that immerses guests.

After its maiden voyage, the ultra-luxurious cruise ship will then embark on a Mediterranean summer before venturing into the Caribbean and South America in November. Following this, on 4 January 2024, Silver Nova will set sail for its 71 day Grand Voyage South America, visiting 28 destinations in 18 countries.

Although Silver Nova is the first ship in the Nova-class, it is the 12th ship to join Silversea’s fleet. It showcases an innovative design that establishes the vessel as one of the most environmentally conscious ultra-luxury cruise ships ever built. The concept is spacious and open and uses approximately 4000 square meters of glass to immerse guests into the destination from all venues and suites.

Silver Nova hosts up to 728 guests in 13 different suite categories, the largest variety of suites in Silversea’s history. Along with this, every suite has access to a private veranda and a private butler, while also boasts the highest space-to-guest ratio of any Silversea ship. The Otium Suite is the largest of the categories, covering 123 square meters, with floor to ceiling windows, that offer 270 degree views form the ships premium aft. corner position.

The Silver Nova pool deck overlooks the ocean on the starboard side, while two new outdoor venues, Dusk Bar and the Marquee offers a relaxing atmosphere.
