Silversea Unveils the Latest Culinary Revelation to Australian Cruisers – S.A.L.T.
Luxury cruise line Silversea, introduces an all inclusive hands on food experience – S.A.L.T. (standing for Sea And Land Taste) to all cruisers aboard their latest ship Silver Nova. Heading for Australian waters in 2025, Silversea Silver Nova welcomes all passengers to be immersed in the debut S.A.L.T. dining experience.
Philippa Walker, Silversea’s marketing director for Asia Pacific, announced that the Silver Nova ship has been in high demand since first being released in the Mediterranean in August. Both Silver Nova and Silver Moon ships will be bringing the S.A.L.T. Experience with tweaks, to cater specifically for the local market. Curator Adam Sachs, will be visiting Australia in the coming year to get a taste and feel for the Oceania region, and curate the menu accordingly.
“S.A.L.T. is about bringing your destination’s food and wine with you, both on board and ashore,” Mrs. Walker from Silversea’s explained.
S.A.L.T. Shore excursions include exploring the workings of a functioning organic farm in the hills of Paros, Greece, or learning how to make pastries at a Sicilian Pasticceria. Silversea’s culinary experts will accompany the shore excursions and educate guests on the nuances of foreign cuisine.
The S.A.L.T. kitchen on board the line’s three ships, Silver Nova, Silver Moon, and Silver Dawn, will serve a wide variety of foreign cuisine that is inspired by the location when guests dine onboard. S.A.L.T. Bar, is where patrons can enjoy cocktails created with premium spirits manufactured locally. Last but not least, there’s also S.A.L.T. Lab, an interactive culinary lab where visitors may practise making regional dishes and learn about the culinary history of each component.
Additionally, according to Ms. Walker, Silversea had a “phenomenal” year when it debuted its Myths & Treasures collection, which features over 150 new cruise sailings for 2025–2026 and went on sale to the general public this week.
Guests will be able to dive even further into Australia and the South Pacific on two additional big journeys.
