Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) Releases All The Details Regarding Its New Ship
NCL (Norwegian Cruise Line) has announced its latest Prima Plus Class ship, the Norwegian Aqua. The Norwegian Aqua is set to be larger than both sister ships, the Norwegian Prima and the Norwegian Viva; while offering more outdoor space and more staff members on board.
Other exciting features that NCL has announced include the introduction to a first-ever three-bedroom duplex, new rides, and new restaurants.
Norwegian Cruise Line has capacity for up to 3,751 passengers and will set sail from Port Canaveral in Florida, heading to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s private island in the Bahamas.Â
Norwegian Cruise Line president David J. Herrera stated, “Norwegian Aqua is a true testament of fusing together what represents the future of our Brand as the first ship in the Prima Plus Class, and our commitment to pushing the boundaries in guest-first experiences that will make new waves at sea.”
“Norwegian Aqua, named for the stunning blue hues of the ocean and our ties to it, will offer new, elevated, and thrilling offerings.”
The street artist Allison Hueman, well-known for her partnerships with Google, L’Oreal, and Nike, has been selected by the queue.
She was selected as the first female painter for the Norwegian Aqua, and her creation is titled “Where the Sky Meets the Sea.”
Allison Hueman expressed her gratitude, saying, “I’m honoured not only to be the first prominent female hull artist for Norwegian Cruise Line, but also to know that my artwork will be roaming the seas, touching different parts of the world.”
“Being partnered with a brand that believes in the magical connection between art and exploration is extremely special to me.”
First cruise rollercoaster in the world
The Aqua Slidecoaster, a rollercoaster and waterslide hybrid, will make its debut on Norwegian Aqua. The thrilling three stories of twists and turns around the ship’s funnel will comprise the rollercoaster experience.
A digital sports complex featuring an interactive LED floor is the new Glow Court. It hosts games during the day and a nightclub at night.
A few of the Prima Class attractions, such as the Stadium and The Drop, the NCL’s ten-story free fall slide, will return.
