New ship alert: Silversea Silver Ray! Set to embark on its maiden voyage this June it will mark a major milestone for Silversea as their second Nova-class Ship geared towards a younger generation of passengers.

The new Silver Ray is part of a longer term play for Silversea to cater to the growing number of generation X and Millennial cruisers, this includes a sleek asymmetric design, increased space to guest ratio, more natural light, smart technology, and an emphasis on maximised ocean views.

A seamless connection between the ship and the ocean was made top priority while designing the Silver Ray. All 364 suites include a balcony as well as floor to ceiling windows. This new design has also made space for more plush lounges, open-air spaces, bars and restaurants.

The ship’s interior design highlights premium, residential touches including decorative lighting, fluted mirrors and plush furniture. Featuring 13 suite categories include the Otium Suites with eye-catching walls of windows, offering 270-degree views. The Master and Medallion Suites have wider than standard verandas and larger balconies.

Onboard amenities include personalised service and butler, complimentary daily excursions, and a huge 1400 square foot pool area, the largest in the Silversea fleet. The outer decks also feature infinity-style pools, Whirlpool and Bar. The Roman bath inspired Otium Spa is ready to provide guests with a space for relaxation from steam room, sauna, indoor pool and treatments.

The Silver Ray boasts five decks worth of restaurants, bar and entertainment spaces including 10 bars and lounges along with eight distinct dining venues. In 2024 we will see Silversea Silver Ray cruise all though the Mediterranean visiting ionic ports in Portugal, Spain, Italy, France and Greece. Moving into 2025 Silversea Silver Ray will sail across to the United States and South America.
